Equipment Room Facility Management

Huawei Equipment Room Facility Management supports management of equipment room infrastructure, including power supply and cooling systems, cabinets, physical security facilities, environmental monitoring instruments, firefighting equipment, collectors, and lighting systems. It also manages the energy efficiency, temperature, and capacity of the equipment room, and displays the location and status of each device in the room. This function can reduce energy consumption, support system planning, and simplify O&M of equipment rooms.

  • Simulates device changes in a system, enabling users to evaluate whether the changes are reasonable. When users make a change to the system that is not according to plan, an alarm will be generated
  • Marks cabinets with different colors, helping users optimize their infrastructure installation plan
  • Optimizes the plan for power supply, cooling, and load by striking a balance among the four capacity factors
Energy Efficiency Management
  • Monitors system PUE and power consumption in real time, keeping users informed about energy consumption
  • Displays statistical results of energy consumption, PUE, power price, and energy distribution of each system, an aid to decrease energy consumption
  • Supports price calculation by region and by system as well as ladder-type electricity pricing, simplifying power expense calculation
Temperature Nephogram
  • Displays the temperature nephogram in data centers, allowing users to focus on high-temperature areas
  • Marks temperatures with different colors, enabling users to quickly recognize hot spots and cold spots
  • Provides 2D and 3D temperature nephograms, meeting display and O&M requirements
  • Allows users to select a point on the nephogram to view that point’s device information and temperature
