Huawei’s SmartAX EA5800 Multi-service Access Module is designed to help clients build networks with greater bandwidth, higher speed, and smarter connectivity to deliver a better service experience.
With GPON, 10G GPON, P2P GE, and 10 GE access, EA5800 supports deployment on FTTH, POL, FTTB, and FTTC — enabling all services on one fiber network.
As a large-capacity aggregation network device, the EA5800 aggregates the traffic from ONTs, MDUs, and campus switches, thereby simplifying the network architecture and reducing OPEX.
Distributed architecture and multi-service virtualization platform ensure optimal video experience
Distributed architecture: High performance, zero interruption
- Under such an architecture, service processing on the control board is distributed to every service board, improving system switching capacity, performance, and reliability
Multi-service virtualization platform: Easy to maintain and space-saving
- A physical OLT is virtualized into multiple OLTs; each virtual OLT can be independently configured and managed to isolate various services on the same network carrier
Optimal video experience
- The EA5800 supports cache in the distributed architecture for fast 4K/8K video startup or channel switching
- Supports U-vMOS video quality monitoring, improving video O&M experience
