Huawei SmartAX MA563x Series Fiber ONUs provide a gigabit coaxial solution that integrates FTTH and Distributed-Converged Cable Access Platform (D-CCAP). They help MSOs use the coaxial and fiber network to provision gigabit broadband, video, voice, and enterprise private line services.

- Digital HFC network: Digitalization reduces the need for analog devices in the distribution hub, such as optical receivers and transmitters, EQAM devices, and frequency mixers. It saves 70% of the distribution hub and 50% of power consumption, reducing TCO by 30%
- FTTH construction on demand: D-CCAP integrates FTTH technology which enables MSOs to share OLT and ODN. Therefore, FTTH can be deployed as required, and full-service operations, such as enterprise leased line and mobile carrier services, are supported
- DOCSIS 3.1 with high performance: With digital optical fiber technologies, Huawei D-CCAP solution improves the signal-to-noise ratio by 6 dB to 9 dB, enhances the DOCSIS 3.1 performance, and delivers gigabit broadband to 80% of current home subscribers without reconstruction
